Story and Setting

“Detective Conan: The Lost Ship in the Sky” is a grand-scale film in which Conan and Phantom Thief Kid face a crisis as a massive airship is hijacked. The story centers on the airship floating in the sky; this enclosed space, which seems vast yet offers no escape, creates a unique sense of tension. The contrast between the cityscape viewed from above and the historic locations they aim to reach is striking, and the visuals possess the dazzling spectacle typical of a theatrical release. Kid’s exploits and the exhilarating action sequences are major highlights, making this a film with a strong sense of adventure set against the backdrop of the sky.

FAQ

Can I visit central Nara in half a day?

Nara Station and Kofukuji are close enough to visit comfortably in half a day. The area around Kofukuji also connects easily toward Nara Park, so focusing on central Nara works well for a short visit.

Can I include Sakushima and Akashi Strait on the same day?

Sakushima is in Aichi, and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is in Hyogo, both far from central Nara. It is more realistic to treat them as separate dates or separate trips.

Where should I start walking in Nara?

Starting from JR Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station and heading to Kofukuji is easy to follow. It is walkable from Kintetsu Nara Station, while buses are also useful from JR Nara Station.
